*This is the most difficult macro shot i have ever taken due to the bug's small size, high speed and unpredictable movements!
Please forgive me if I can't reply to all your messages but I'd like to thank you all in advance who have added my images to their favorites, my pages to their watch and for all your wonderful compliments. It's a big encouragement, it means so much for me and I truly appreciate it special thanks to aksdareflection for suggesting it and ^dandelgrosso for featuring it as my first DD Other shots of the same fly [link] - [link] Daily DeviationGiven 2009-01-13Alain - I Come in Peace by =Eibo-Jeddah Suggester wrote "Wonderful capture, simply amazing; sometimes this shot is impossible to take. Love the results!" (Suggested by =aksdareflection and Featured by ^dandelgrosso) Commentsi do believe that is what my sis and i call a "zig-zag fly" (we have odd names for things, like the bugs that some how always seem to get in the house in the summer, we call em "dizzy flies" cause they go in circles)
tell me, did it hoover and when it moved it was very quick and jerky and seem to move in almost angular motions as if making the shape of a square as it moved? -- Fursuit, Cosplay and Costume commissions [link] help keep my dream of living off my artwork alive! ^__^ |

Vision: To even attempt to take a macro shot of a fly in flight is quite a feat in and of itself. To accomplish it with such clarity is something else! Excellent vision, and very well captured.
Originality: While macro shots of insects are common, I've never seen any shots, macro or otherwise, of an insect in flight that was so clear and large. Very original.
Technique: Your technique is stunning. The background blur is beautifully smooth, and in good contrast to the fly. The fly itself is perfectly captured and amazingly clear given that it was in flight. The motion of the wings is excellently captured.
Impact: This shot has inspired me to improve my macro technique. I am a real novice when it comes to photography, but I also own a 450D, and its very inspiring to know that such a shot is possible with that camera! Great impact overall.
