„Iacta alea est”, literally :)
What this photo inspires is conflict and impact. I should explain myself. Its impact lies in the „conflict” between red, a strong colour, and the fading background, in the distinctive states of matter the dice and water are made of (solid/liquid) which generates the third constrast: the dice regular shape vs. irregular shape/dispersion of water. And, of course, there’s the physical impact that the photograph captured. Besides all that, it’s really captivating, because of the slow-mo impression. It’s almost like an illustrated poem. It has „rhythm and rhyme” and I can hear the music. I’d call it „Geometric poetry”.

This is an incredible photograph. The 'things falling in water' has become a sort of cliché, but it doesn't really affect the impact of things like this. I love how 3D the picture looks, and how you get the breathtaking effect of slow motion in a picture. The picture, to be completely blunt, is not very original. It has been done many times before, but like I said that's not exactly a bad thing. In this case, the die could have some deeper meaning then most of us are aware. The overall impact of this image leaves the viewer with a good feeling of awe and happiness.

Overall, I will give "Ballerina" by Eibo-Jeddah a 9/10.
