Droplets, droplets, droplets... they're everywhere and somewhat of a cliché.
But this shot by Eibo is elevated to something special by the warm reds and yellows of the background providing the photographer's intended contrast with the cool perfection of the droplet, and the composition of the petals which are apparently holding the droplet tenderly, making me wonder whether the droplet is a prized possession or a respected visitor.
The upwards diagonal slant of the petals leads the eye perfectly to the droplet, where we ultimately focus on the shining highlight of the drop, drawn into even sharper relief by the perfect depth of field.
